Also, I will be attending the performance tonight in Hollywood, California and I’ll try to keep track of the set list and whatnot for a little write-up tomorrow.

Better Living Industries Viral Site

Dr. Death Defying sent out a tweet today to Better Living Industries’ “official” (that is, viral) website. Better Living Industries (better known as BL/ind) is a Japanese conglomerate specializing in “life management.” The website has an introductory video and a little history on the company. It also has an online store where you can actually buy real things like shirts and mugs and stuff like that.

But enough blabbering. Check it out for yourself at betterlivingindustries.jp.

Vinny Weighs in on the Strike in the AZ Examiner

I am all for freedom of speech (and so is MCR) and I wouldn’t be sticking it to the man, so-to-speak, if I didn’t post a fellow fan and friend’s publication in an AZ paper.

In an article posted on the Examiner‘s website Vinny explains…

“Lets forget for a moment that a great deal of this bands fans are not 18 and could not vote against it, the fact that Zach De La Rocha thinks he will collapse the Arizonan economy with the actions of his Sound Strike organization is truly ridiculous. Even if EVERY artist stopped performing in the state, it would not put nearly a dent in the economy, and definitely not enough to change the opinion of the government. It is blatantly obvious that the ONLY ones who are going to suffer from this ‘movement’ are the local venues, the bands, and most of all, the fans who wholeheartedly follow these musicians.”
—Vinny

I do understand the hurt felt because the artists not performing in the state. MCR has never played in Mississippi, but not for these reasons.  So here is hoping all this is resolved soon for the fans!

Drowned in Sound Interviews Frank and Gerard

November 17th, 2010 | | 0 Comments | Email My Chemical Freak!

Drowned in Sound has posted a pretty extensive interview with both Frank Iero and Gerard Way. They are asked about the new album, the Killjoys comic book, and about the rumor that they are splitting up, which they flat out deny:

It was just like an ubersensational headline on NME.com. They just took something totally out of context. I was just saying, this could be our last big adventure, so we should make it fun. That turned into, we’re breaking up. … Not to stoke any fires, that’s a false rumour.

This is going to come as some very disappointing news to fans, but the band has cancelled their show in Tempe, Arizona at the Marquee Theatre.

You can read the official explanation on their site HERE.

‘Til next time.
