Normally I do not post about their spouses or family unless it is directly linked to one of the members of MCR.
I feel however this is too cool not to post about.

The Hollywood Reporter reported (as its name suggests it would do) today that My Chemical Romance’s latest single, “SING” will be used in upcoming American Idol commercials. Last month the band hinted at the possibility that their music would be used in promotions for the show. The song is perfect for the commercials, I mean it’s called “SING”. As Gerard said, “The offer was pretty much a no-brainer.” For the full Hollywood Reporter article, CLICK HERE.
Last night, My Chemical Romance performed at LIVE 105′s Not So Silent Night 2010 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. Jim Harrington reviewed the show for the San Jose Mercury News. Here’s an excerpt:
My Chemical Romance was clearly the biggest draw of the night, and it generated, by far, the most excitement in the crowd.

My Chemical Romance is performing twice today in Los Angeles. And the best part is that both performances will be broadcast LIVE for your in-home viewing enjoyment.
MCR will perform at the Spike Video Game Awards 2010 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The awards show starts at 5:00 p.m. PST (8:00 p.m. EST). I’m not sure what time they will perform, but you can watch it live on Spike.
Later tonight the band will play at the 21st Annual KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas at the Gibson Amphitheatre. A bunch of other bands will be performing, including Cake, Jimmy Eat World, Bad Religion, Anberlin, Social Distortion, and the headliners: The Smashing Pumpkins. MCR is scheduled to perform at 9:25 p.m. PST (12:25 a.m. EST). Don’t freak out if they don’t stick to the times, all the bands will probably run a little bit over their alloted times and there might be a surprise guest that’ll muck up the times too. You can watch MCR live via KROQ’s Ustream page by CLICKING HERE.
