As part of the “HAITI: Aid Still Required” campaign, artists including My Chemical Romance, The Killers, Tom Morello, Slash and others have pledged to use their Twitter and Facebook accounts Thursday to rekindle interest in helping Haiti. Read more at ABC News Radio Online.

As we all know James Dewees is the beloved keyboard player for My Chemical Romance. After a stint in his own band Reggie and the Full Effect and other ventures, he turned over his mic and turned to his keyboard to bring a whole new element to MCR’s already massive successful list of music.
PunkNews.org sat down with Dewees and got an in-depth interview with one we know so little about. Or at least that is the case for me.
“ So how did this all start? Forced piano lessons when you were a kid?
I actually wanted to take piano because my older brother took lessons; I think I was 7 when I started. I decided to play drums at 11 in the Lewis and Clark elementary school band. I carried a concert snare drum back and forth for a year, and drove my parents nuts. “

Details are reeeeeeaaaaaallllll sketchy and it’s really late and I’m headed to bed, but apparently there will be an airing of MCR live on World Stage on MTV Latin America, this Friday, at 9 p.m. Not sure of what live show this could be; possibly a rerun. If anyone has any further details, please add to this in the comments section as I did an in-depth search on Google and MTV Latin America’s programming schedule and still came up empty.
