According to MCRMYColorado on Twitter, the Gothic Theater in Denver, Colorado has sent an email out with scarce details about the spur of the moment show. They say more details to come, but with the 25th quickly approaching it leaves me as well as others wondering just how accurate this information might be.

“Jeez, time flies friends. Where did the hours go? One year ago today Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys was released into the world. I honestly cant believe its already been a year. I must say a year into any of our other records and it felt like we wrote the songs a lifetime ago… But with this one it kinda still feels brand new somehow. I dont know how to explain it. But maybe thats a testament to the way we feel about this record. I dont think every stone has been unturned with this one yet.”
We are going to be at the My Chemical Romance/Blink 182 Honda Civic Show in Atlanta tomorrow night!
And we are going to be giving away SIGNED goodies if you find us!
How do you get these items? We won’t be in the que line. This is a game of where’s waldo. I will be dressed in a bright red shirt with an army green jacket, jeans and black boots. I will be making pics of the MCR fans waiting in line, and rambling around. You have to find us to get the goodies. You won’t get them unless you tell me how you know me! :) When you see me be stealthy, call me over and see what you get!
The first person to find me gets their choice of prizes out of the lot!
Last night was an amazing experience. My sister and I got to the venue right before Neon Trees hit the stage. The front man had good energy. My only complaint would be that the drummers microphone was very quiet. For being the backing vocalist you could barely hear her.
The excitement level was very high by the time MCR hit the stage. They started their set list with “Na Na Na”. After that they played “Thank You for the Venom” (one of my favourites). The set list was mostly songs from Danger Days but they had a good mixing of songs from Black Parade and Revenge including “Mama”, “Teenagers”, “I’m Not Okay”, and “Hang ’Em High”. If you didn’t know how old they all were you would figure they were all teenagers. Gerard was running from one side of the stage to the other, Frank and Ray were playing like it was the last show they would ever play, and Mikey was at the front of the stage a lot and looking like he was having the time of his life. There were some funny moments between the boys. Pedicone was just playing the kick drum and Gerard was fooling around by doing kung fu poses when Frank came over and pretended to kick him. Gerard fell flat on his stomach with Mikey rolling his eyes and smiling at him. The lights were spectatular but made getting good pictures kind of hard to get. I have to say that I like that they are touring smaller venues. We were much closer to the stage and it felt more personal (smaller venues are more crowded though so dont be surprised if you get a little squished). Nearly everyone sang along to every song (my throat still hurts) and there was a lot of jumping (watch your feet). To sum everything up it was an amazing show with high energy, awesome songs, and great moments.
P.S. They did mention the sing it for Japan song. They hope to get it done by the end of this week.
P.P.S. They had lots of great merch for sale. T-shirts were $30 and the hoodies were $50. The bag I got was $20. The line was very long so if you want merch get there early.

First of all, I will say that I just set a personal record in how quickly I can do a round trip to a show, from Anchorage, Alaska, and back. 39 hours to Seattle back. Whew!
Got to the Showbox Sodo at about 12:30 yesterday. The line was surprisingly not very long, but there were clearly people who had camped out all night. I got there early to mainly take advantage of the parking since I had read online that the parking at Showbox Sodo was dicey.
Took my place in line at about 1. Very cold day, hovering in the mid-40′s, occasionally raining. Met some nice fans from the Portland area and one from Olympia–Allie, Justin, and Maddie. We would end up spending the next 8 hours together.
Saw one of the Party Poison jackets that were being sold online for about $200 out of China and a couple PP jackets that had been sold at mcr.com. I’m still waiting on mine. Bottom line is that the Chinese versions are much truer to Gerard’s and the attention to detail is pretty amazing. Still, the mcr.com version is cool enough, just a few more stylistic differences and a little less detail, but I suppose that’s to be expected for a mass-produced version.
Doors opened promptly at 6:30. The Showbox was tiny! Very intimate, and started smelling like a bus fairly early on. Went to the merch stands and got a tshirt and a hoodie that is based off of Party Poison’s jacket.
The Architects and Neon Trees were decent openers, I actually really enjoyed them. MCR took the stage a little after 9, coming out to “Na Na Na.” Some of the setlist surprises of the night included “Destroya” and a whalloping version of “Vampires Will Never Hurt You” as the finale of the night. Never considered it a closing song, but it worked really well. I find it great that they’re incorporating songs from
Bullets into the setlist. The band was extremely tight, Gerard’s voice was probably the strongest I’d ever seen it, and the crowd was one of the most well-behaved MCR crowds I had been in.
I pulled out of the Showbox parking lot a little after 11, checked out of my hotel room, and was back in Anchorage by 8:30 this morning. Ready for the next show. Killjoys, there’s more noise to make.
Setlist from Stockholm, Setlist from Norway, MCR’s agenda, MCR sticker, Frank Iero’s towel, Alan Williamson’s bottlem MCR ticket, MCR’s champagne cork, Mark Pedicone’s drumsticks, SkeletonCrew button, Mikey Way’s bass pick, Ray Toro’s guitarpicks, Frank Iero’s guitarpicks, random beads that fell of the stage.
If you all have been to a show and have photos, videos or reviews send them! We will gladly feature them here! Send any reviews to brandi@mychemicalfreak.com. Be sure to include your name, the date and place of the concert you attended.
A fan asked Frank Iero on Twitter if the fans could pick the next My Chemical Romance single and he thought it was a cool idea. He told fans to Tweet him their picks. Now this doesn’t mean that they ARE letting the fans pick it. He probably just wondered what they WOULD pick.
In that spirit we thought it would be fun to see what our readers thought! Make your selection in the poll below! If you you think a different song should be chosen that is not listed on the poll, by all means, post it in a comment!
Tell everyone you know to vote! We want to know what the most anticipated single would be!
