My Chemical Romance and MASScanvas have teamed up to bring artists, fans, and T-shirt design enthusiasts the “My Chemical Romance T-shirt Design Contest.” The band is looking for people to submit a T-shirt design that represents the theme “Good vs. Evil.” Best part: not only do winning designers earn some serious cash and recognition, but proceeds from the winning tees support the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Design submission dates are from July 1-22.

Public voting takes place from July 23-31. The band will pick the ultimate 5 winners based on the top 20 designs from the public vote. The 5 winners will be announced via video by the band on or around August 18th. Only these top 5 designs will be printed and sold in highly limited editions HERE
-The 5 winners will each receive $1,000, and the top seller will receive an additional $1,500.
-For every winning T-shirt sold at the end of this contest, MASScanvas will donate $2 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

With the premiere of Planetary (GO!)’s video there was speculation that Bulletproof Heart would be a single also. There will infact be a Bulletproof Heart Video.

When we last left the Killjoys, they were dead — gunned down at the conclusion of My Chemical Romance’s video for “Sing.” That clip was a continuation of the DayGlo outlaws’ assault on the nefarious Better Living Industries, a campaign first launched in the “Na Na Na” video and one that’s central to the theme of the band’s Danger Days album.

When My Chemical Romance first learned of the devastating natural disasters that struck Japan in March, they didn’t wonder, “Should we help?” Instead, their first thought was “How can we help?”
“Japan has always held a special place in our hearts, really from the first time we had a show there. … We just had such an amazing response there, and we’re just such fans of the culture,” MCR guitarist Ray Toro explained. “And then all of the fans we met out there, they’re just so polite and there’s just a really great energy over there.
