“From the get-go, fire-red-haired vocalist Gerard Way had the audience in a frenzy: more voices rang out for the set’s openers, “Na Na Na” and “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)” than for the bulk of what followed, while writhing crowd-surfers littered the crowd’s top.”
As usual NME gets you all psyched up about something everyone already knows. Gerard has his comic and a 3rd series of it coming out, Frank has S//C and Leathermouth.
NME reports that Frank Iero said, “”I can see the other guys branching off and doing other things. Gerard [Way] has his writing, and he has plans for that, but he wants to direct too. And Ray [Toro] is such an incredible talent. I’d love to see him get the credit he’s due. I can see us branching off, but always coming back to this.”
Cassie from Cassie the Venomous has added a “DONATE” button on her website. 90% of the donations will be given to “SingItForJapan” and the purchase of t-shirts from MASSCanvas to help My Chemical Romance grant a wish for the Make-a-Wish Foundation, those will eventually be given away to a lucky reader.
I don’t know if you watch this show, but if you do you already know this tidbit of info. In tonight’s episode of The Sing Off, the whole lot started the night off with a group rendition of MCR’s “Sing”. Seems that song is going on every show on TV. Not saying its a bad thing, just making an observation. My local pop radio station has also started running the song in the ground. I really want to tell them “dude there are 10 other singles to choose from made by MCR!” I kid I kid. I am happy they made it on my radio station at all!
Electronic Theatre (yes that’s the way it is spelled) is reporting that My Chemical Romance, along with Alice Cooper and Elvis, will be among the artists on the new Wii game “We Sing Rock”. Nothing has been confirmed officially by the actual band, but this seems legit. This report comes from a UK website so I am not sure if this means the game will only be released there or the U.S. too.
“Still in support of last year’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, My Chemical Romance performed a variety of hits off the effort, including set opener (and the irritably titled) “Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)” and “Planetary (Go!)”.”
“Dark Horse Comics president Mike Richardson has teased the future of Umbrella Academy. Richardson confirmed that a third series of Gerard Way’s Eisner and Harvey Award-winning title is in the works, during an interview with Comic Book Resources”
Now this article is vague at best, but it sounds like it was only one performance the guy stood in on. It has not been reported by any reputable source that he will play further shows in place of Pedicone.
If you haven’t had enough here are three links to three more articles. And those are the last of what you will see on My Chemical Freak about the situation for now. As the guys probably would want, we shall not dwell on the past but look foward to a brighter day and greater things ahead.
