“But now it is My Chemical Romance. They have drawn easily the biggest crowd of the day and while the sound started on the dodgy side, they have the kids jumping and screaming like an audience should.”

“My Chemical Romance, 5.30pm, Big Day Out Stage
The last time My Chemical Romance played the Big Day Out in 2007, the entire stadium was jam-packed with teens smeared in makeup and eyeliner. It has to be said – they played terribly. Ironically, they’re playing much better today, but to a much smaller crowd.”

“Their most famous record may be known as “The Black Album,” but veteran metal unit Metallica have triggered a wide palette of aesthetic visions. This Friday, Los Angeles’ Exhibit A Gallery will host Obey Your Master, an art exhibition featuring works influenced by the group’s output over the last 30 years. In addition to works created by such acclaimed names as Shepard Fairey, Travis Louie and Gail Potocki, the curators also enlisted the participation of Metalli-fan rockers as Black Veil Brides’ Andy Biersack, Slipknot’s Shawn “Clown” Crahan and My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way.”

This is so sad and upsetting. This is proof yet again that the music moguls do not understand one single thing about this band. I didn’t even want to post this. BUT I am and am hoping you all fill his comment box full of your one sided opinions! They know jack!
“Really, My Chemical Romance’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys deserved better. A big, bold re-invention of their sound and swagger, it was, by the band’s own admission, a “missile” aimed at destroying the staid state of rock and roll, and perhaps because of that fact, it failed to catch on here in the states. ”

This is from former My Chemical Romance drummer, Bob Bryar’s, experience and eye witness account of the incident.
”My dog dixie was killed by a well known trainer a few years ago, coincidentally by a man named Dan. Her loss completely ruined my life. It’s a very long story that really strengthened my views on animal cruelty and proper care for them. I exposed that guy for what he is (an animal abuser) and he is now out of business forever.
Today I have a first hand eyewitness account of a man named Dan Morgan, a dog trainer that operates a business in Chicago (Franklin Park) under the name CANINE WAKE UP (caninewakeup.com), abusing a dog under his care at an adoption event. When the dog that he was responsible for training peed on the floor, Dan Morgan repeatedly kicked the dog in the stomach, lifted the dog off the ground by his PRONG collar choking him, and called him an asshole before dropping him to the ground. Many people witnessed it and have been trying to do something to help but haven’t gotten far enough. I decided to try and call him and talk to him about it and of course he didn’t answer. I left him a message asking about his rates to train dogs and could not help asking if the choking and name calling were an extra charge.”
This is ONLY an excerpt of the original post from Bob Bryar that can be found HERE on his Twitlonger account. I URGE you to go read this and spread the word about this trainer. HELP BOB HELP THE ANIMALS!

“Around the same time, in 2006, a writer and music-industry gadabout named Sarah Lewitinn– more recognizably branded as Ultragrrrl– posted a blog entry making a claim that shouldn’t, in and of itself, have been all that provocative. My Chemical Romance, she suggested, was “this generation’s Nirvana”– the transformative favorite that meant something to millions.”

As we all know James Dewees is the beloved keyboard player for My Chemical Romance. After a stint in his own band Reggie and the Full Effect and other ventures, he turned over his mic and turned to his keyboard to bring a whole new element to MCR’s already massive successful list of music.
PunkNews.org sat down with Dewees and got an in-depth interview with one we know so little about. Or at least that is the case for me.
“ So how did this all start? Forced piano lessons when you were a kid?
I actually wanted to take piano because my older brother took lessons; I think I was 7 when I started. I decided to play drums at 11 in the Lewis and Clark elementary school band. I carried a concert snare drum back and forth for a year, and drove my parents nuts. “

“MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE commemorated their ten-year anniversary on September 11th last year, which was followed up by the announcement a couple of weeks later, that the band would finally be returning to New Zealand – for the first time in five years – as headliners on the2012 BIG DAY OUT.
Bassist MIKEY WAY gave Coup De Main a call while doing some last-minute Christmas shopping in Los Angeles at the close of last year… “
