I know I’m going to get tons of flame for this, but…

I’m against the lawsuit. Far as I have heard, I don’t think the trainer meant *intentional* harm. Yes, losing a pet is very sad, but I don’t think there’s enough justification here to file a lawsuit. I think Bob should just be a good example and take the high road. Or, sue for only a reasonable amount (ie,. cost of hiring trainer, any other monetary expenses).

TBH, right now the situation seems like “I lost a member of my family, so I’m gonna mourn the AMERICAN way and SUE EVERYBODY’S PANTS OFF.

When you look at this sanely, this case could easily be solved out of court.

actually klei, bob might have a pretty good case on his hands, i mean there probably wasnt any intent, but was a clear action that caused the trainer to lie about it. Another offense, he covered up the situation. and it also depends on the health of the dog, before it went with the dog trainer, if the dog was healthy, then that raises even more suspicion that it was the trainers fault …

lol … i guess a few years of law did me well hahaha

Yes, I see your point, and I also want to say thanks for the sane response, instead of something like “omg how can you say that?!?!?!” you actually brought up good points.
Reading the article, I do actually think that the trainer had done something out of the boundaries that Bob had layed out, but…I don’t know. To me, it just seems like the trainer initially lied because he was embarassed about the death. If the trainer *did* do something illegal (or with bad intentions), then yeah, go sue the crap out of him. But so far, with us not knowing how Dixie *really* died, it seems like this case could be solved out of court, and I think Bob was pretty fast on starting a lawsuit instead of waiting for an answer first.

One more note:
One thing out of the article that I would say is incentive for a lawsuit is the fact that the trainer cremated Dixie without Bob’s permission first. I mean, that’s both suspicious *and* bastardly (not getting to say goodbye to your pet? ouch). But yeah, if this lawsuit carries out, I hope Bob wins.

Poor Dixie!!! I think tht it’s so dodgy that the guy had three different stories about how she died and that he cremated her without Bob’s permission. And he said that she was hit by a car and then cremated because she was in such a bad state but then he said she died in her sleep and then he said she just died. Bob often talked about how she was so ‘Healthy and happy’ she wouldn’t have just dropped dead. This is a lot more sinister than it should be.
Oh and I dunno whether this is true or not but apparently other dogs have died in his care.
That is BAD.

How devastating! Poor Bob and Dixie!! I think Bob should win this lawsuit. It is inexcusable for a trainer not to immediately notify the owner and be truthful when a pet dies in their care, regardless of the circumstances. I think Bob is right to find this situation suspicious and negligent and he needed to file this lawsuit. We’ll see if other wronged pet owners come forward with additional complaints against this trainer.

I only just found out about it, i searched my chemical romance on google and i read about it! That trainer should feel so guilty, he’s an iggnorant ass. I feel soo sorry for bob, bless him. He loves him dogs so much. Im quite upset too. x
