i like the USB drive…the back of the vest was a turn off for me, but…still this is pretty cool.

If you’re wanting a more genuine-looking vest, your only bet is to get a real one on eBay. Problem there is that they go for well over $150. So, this is about as close as you’re going to get to a Gerard vest for under $50!

Buyer beware: if you are going to order this and do plan on actually wearing it, pay close attention to their sizing chart. I normally fit into a small for most jackets and shirts. Well, not in this case. According to their sizing chart, I fit into the large/xlarge category. Weird, but I guess they’re trying to do a “2 sizes fits all” type of thing.

Oh, and being the dope that I am, I went right ahead and place an order for a small-medium vest. So, I have to now email Warners to see if I can get my size changed.

No, it is not really bulletproof. There’s a small disclaimer at the bottom of the page that releases Warners and MCR of any liability. So I wouldn’t try and take any hostages with it. But you would be a spiffy-dressed terrorist, I suppose.

At least the swag they’re making some decent-quality stuff. I’d be the first to call MCR on something if it was unethical or stupid, but as a lifelong follower of rock and roll, I realize it’s a business. What I would really go for is if they made some really high-end replicas of the Black Parade uniform jackets.

I was thinking of another reason why this vest was made as I was jogging yesterday. The setlist, even though part of a Black Parade show, is culled entirely from Three Cheers.

Samantha: I’ve got one of the Gerard replicas. They’ve been available since early 2007 out of the UK, as well as the one that Ray wore and they even made a version of a dress like the ones seen worn by the cute little goth girls on the album photos. In fact, I saw a girl wearing one at one of the Las Vegas shows last March. Waaay cute. The longcoat is a new twist that I haven’t seen, however. But what I was saying is that I would like see versions that are of much higher quality that would probably got for $200 or so a piece. The ones on eBay, frankly, are of marginal quality.
