Is the statement about MCR recording Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower” a mistake, or are they covering that AND “Desolation Row”? I feel a bit out of the loop suddenly…

wow, what’s with all the MCR news lately? lol i’m not used to this…

I saw that it said “new songs” and I started like hyperventilating! Then I read it and was sad… I CANNOT wait for some new stuff from them. I’d like some date to count down to or something. I’m just scared something is going to happen they’re not going to make another album. That would break my heart. There’s no one that could take the place of MCR!

Gonna throw this out: I think that they’re sort of toying with us. I think we’re going to see a new album sooner than anyone thinks we will. My prediction is a new album will be out in Fall ’09, followed by a year of touring. Wanna make a wadger? All the signs are there: Gerard and Mikey keep dropping hints, yet they quickly follow every hint up with all of the other crap they’re doing. There’s something to be said for taking a rest (it’s already been nearly 6 months since The Black Parade’s epitaph in New York City), but MCR aren’t dummies and they know to also strike while the iron is hot. Granted, their fan base is more age-diverse than, say, Britney Spears’, who is stuck in a perpetual time tunnel thinking it’s 1999, but they don’t want to be gone for too long. This past tour did what I think they wanted; it left us wanting more. Mission accomplished.

Also wanted to clarify: new album Fall ’09, a handful of dates through Christmas, and then a world tour starting in either January or February 2010.

I hope so; the “Class of 2006″ is already following-up: Fall Out Boy, The Killers. It’s pretty rare that a band as big as MCR (arguably bigger than FOB or The Killers) take more than a couple of years between albums. So, 3 years is a stretch. No way will they wait 4. I’ll eat my Black Parade jacket if that happens.
