My Chemical Freak: My Chemical Romance All The Time

Frank Iero Circa 1999?

Ok I saw this yesterday.  Still don’t know if I fully believe its real.  Rosie sent this and she kinda made a good case.  She, Kristie, and I all are skeptical a little, still.

Click Here to see Frank’s English assingments from College.

Click Here to see Frank’s essay with his Dad in it.

I appologize if this is not real, again read this under the assumption that it MIGHT be real.

Thanks again Rosie!

I think it’s real (:
This is awesome.
But yea, because web-archives are usually correct, and check his favorite links on the homepage? The Bouncing Souls.
Has to be him.

Reckon the email address (fi182@hotmail.com) still works? xD

Thanks for finding this; it’s amazing :D

Oh, and SECTOR 12. Wasn’t that one of Frank’s earliest bands?

It’s from fall 2000, btw (:
On the ‘class homepage’ it says the date.

I think it’s all real.

rosie sent this to me this morning too. ive read all of them, and i think its pretty legit. i mean, its an old-style webpage and the sort of thing they’d do for college, right? also someone would’ve had to go to great lengths to fake this. on the other hand the ‘reviews’ of the page all refer to frank as ‘she’ if you read carefully. its weird.

I posted the link to this on my MySpace fansite (I did credit this site, I always do).
And I got hatemail for posting it!

They think we’re disrespecting Frank’s privacy and stuff like that. But my argument is that this was already public domain back in 1999/2000, so it would still be public today; meaning no invasion of privacy, right?

Ugh, tell me I’m right, because I’m getting a lot of hate over this little link. :|

If you do that math, Frank was born in ’81 and students usually enter college at 18–1981+18=1999…

Also, it is a domain owned by the college, Rutgers. Usually students would only have access to any kind of editing towards student account page.

And finally, thanks to ImNotOkay.net..
“He went to Rutgers University on a scholarship, but dropped out to join My Chemical Romance.”

XD I think it’s legit. (However, the comments of “she” does throw me a bit. =S )

I dont understand the whole “she” thing.
But I’m assuming this is real, if you right click on the page and “view page info” it shows you the page was last updated in 1999.
Frank wasn’t famous then, so I’m almost sure it’s really him…
Plus somebody would fucking need legit no life to forge that.ahaha.

Anyways although I find it somewhat creepy I find it even more amazing.
Frank’s an amazing human being and getting to read essays and his views on things in that kind of a setting is pretty awesome.
I surely enjoy reading the stuff posted there…so thanks for sharing this with us.

I def. think this is legit. This sounds like Frank’s tone and vocabulary as far as I can discern.
Best part: in Frank’s piece on Tibetan acculturation: “Then I thought some more and I was angered because I couldn’t find one Tibetan person on the whole World Wide Web, I mean Jeez it’s not like their Amish they can use computers.” lol!
One of the most poignant statements in his writing: “However then [Alex Curtis] goes on to say that everyone feels [that the only way to keep the races pure is to separate them], only they are scared to say it. I feel that this was a huge mistake if he is trying to get people to follow his beliefs…If these are your beliefs why would you be scared to express them? That would mean that deep down you know that these beliefs are wrong.”

I love that man.
:D

When I first saw it I wasn’t sure.
but he signs out as
“Dr Frank Iero”
talk about his dad etc
it really sounds like him and seeing as it was last updated in 1999 I don’t think anynone would have the hindsight to create a fake one lol.

“I liked “The Wasteland” better than reading a dictionary, but it put me to sleep faster than Tylenol P.M. I would recommend it to insomniacs. ”

hahaha.

“even though I am Italian, it does not mean I can recite a world famous recipe for spaghetti, or tell you what happened in the Roman Empire.”

oh and only frank would make fake email adresses from “companies” and “journalists” just to get a better reaction when he asked them questions :)

Yeah the page is from 1999 as theres a link to a ‘class roster’ or something. This is really strange, and the thing about infringing privacy is kinda true…although I’m actually grateful we can read them because Frank’s so intelligent :)

I would say the content is certainly legit, even if the website isn’t the original one. Having said that, the page definitely has the vintage look of a page from the first internet decade. And about infringing on Frank’s privacy; it’s moot since he posted it on the web. I will admit that I’m surprised that it’s still online after all these years.

I read those essays and it’d be amazing if they really are his =) They seem legit enough anyway.

And I’d be dead if I tried to write anything like that for my English class. At least, in the tones used and things like that haha XD

I did that to. I added that email (fi182@hotmail.com) and it’s some spanish kid, I think. Anyway it could’ve been Frank’s old email but he deleted it and now someone else got that address? Idk …

The “she” everyone is so puzzled about is not in reference to Frank. Those Journal reviews are Frank commenting on OTHER people’s journals, not vice versa :) If you look closely, you will pick up that they are all written in his style of writing. Just thought I’d clear that up for y’all :)
