In a candid interview today with Angels & Airwaves’ Tom DeLonge, the frontman commented to Buzznet on the controversy involving the death of a My Chemical Romance fan, and the outrage and protests that followed after a British tabloid’s insensitive article on the tragedy.
DeLonge could relate as a similar incident happened to him when he was in Blink 182.
DeLonge: The same sort of thing happened to me with Blink, so I can understand what it’s like to be a part of something like that. We had a victim of the Columbine shootings take his life with our song on repeat. You kinda go through these situations where you blame yourself — but you can’t. You have no idea who these people are. And My Chemical Romance, they spend a lot of time singing about coming together, and there’s ingredients of rebellion and angst, but what band doesn’t have that when you’re young?
Ok I am starting to get extremely confused. Buzznet has this clip, Youtube has that clip. Now MCR is posting about ANOTHER NEW clip on their myspace today.
SO here it is. I have no idea if its BRAND NEW or them being tards and repeating their other clips for advertisements. AHHHHHHHH!
Hello! My name is Brandi and I run this joint. I, along with the other MCF Minions (Kristie, Brett, Vinny and Zach), will bring you all the latest news on My Chemical Romance, all their side-projects and other related news.
