Today, February 20, 2008, the final issue of The Umbrella Academy’s Apocalypse Suite goes on sale. Dark Horse Comics’ blog tells us more…
Every orchestra knows that the most important part of a performance is the finale, and what could be more final than the apocalypse?
Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba’s magnum opus comes to its dramatic conclusion in Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite 6 – out today! As the world lingers on the brink of complete annihilation, this dysfunctional fighting team must put their issues aside as they attempt to save planet Earth.
“The Umbrella Academy knocked my socks off. I can’t really recall the last time I picked up a book and was so unbelievably surprised at how good it actually was, but it happened here.” -AintItCool.com?
“An ultraviolet psychedelic sherbert bomb of wit and ideas. The superheroes of the 21st century are here at last . . . ” -Grant Morrison

As always, My Chemical Romance’s myspace and label should really get together on what they are reporting to the fans. One blog shows the Memphis, TN date as May 2, 2008. Their official tour email, from the label, doesn’t list the Memphis date at all. This is causing much agravation between fans and, well, us! I guess it is a wait-and-see sort of thing, but in the mean time, I have found another concert site, 411 Mania, still reporting the date.
MCR plan spring tour
My Chemical Romance have announced a North American tour for this spring, their last touring behind 2006′s album The Black Parade. The new dates begin in Tempe, AZ on March 28 and wind up in Memphis on May 2. A live CD/DVD set, The Black Parade Is Dead!, will be out later this year. After the tour, MCR will start work on their next record.

So until further notice, the Memphis date shall remain on our list! BOOKMARK us for all your MCR info and check often for updates!

Ok this is getting nutty! Seriously, My Chemical Romance and their staff are making me a bit loopy. There is all kinds of speculation about dates, fake and real. So in the spirit of trying to sort everything out. These are the dates and venues that have been reported by MCR Myspace Blog, Ticketmaster, and a couple other reputable sites. If, for any reason, I am not completely sure about a date UNCONFIRMED will be out beside that entry. That way you will know, until further notice, that the date might not be set in stone.
