Ya know that actually looks like an interesting comic. And Im not into comics that much. The Unbrella Academy never did appeal to me. “The epitaph” at the end of the 1st one made it seem that Fisher was like a ring leader or something. Or that he was able to tell Gerard what to do. Not like a mentor thing at all. And the way he describes “Garry wanted to be apart of the pack”.. Well as a chunky shy kid from Jersey. Wouldnt Gerard want to belong some how? Isnt that the way to do it? Just a thought there. I dont remember seeing him “bungling his point” on Sally JR. Maybe I didnt see that part of the clip.
Im still wondering why he went by Garry. If this was something he wanted to do why not go by his actual name? Then again for all I know he went by “Garry” in hs. Dont know..

I think it would be fun to read too. I COMPLETELY agree about Fisher wanting to be the ring leader. I think his success was limited because he tried to tell everyone what to do, what to write, etc. He didnt take the time to allow a little freedom. So in return, all his artists/writers left him. Wouldn’t you leave in such a stiffled situation, I SURE WOULD!
Fisher also seems like the type to shorten a name to something like “garry” when the person doesn’t even like it. And yeah who knows maybe he did, but you know though, nicknames have a tendency of dying hard. I would think his mother and brother would say that name if he had gone by it for a long time.

This is true.. Then again I can understand shortening a name. Especially when its a uncommon one. One of the reasons I go by Dee.. easier to remember than Delaine (though I actually like my name because its uncommon). “Garry” makes me laugh though.. I mean why 2 “r’s I dont know.. I just find it funny.. Gerry would have been better if he wanted to go by something else.
Im over analyzing here as usual… but the reasons people do things fascinates me. Didnt Gerard say that he lied alot when he was in high school. Perhaps he just used the name “Garry” to try to reinvent himself with other people. I dont know it makes sense to me. Ive often wanted to do that myself. Id go by Goldie ^_^
Sorry.. rambling.. insomnia again..
